Description

Void of Time is an original contemporary conceptual artwork built around four chairs floating in a deep black space.

In this work, black is not treated as a simple background. It becomes an emptied field where time, place and narrative are removed. What remains is position, distance and the fragile presence of objects.

The four chairs suggest different states of life. The small bamboo chair points to childhood and uncertainty. The plastic chair suggests youth, speed and temporary public space. The wooden chair reflects order, responsibility and middle age. The rattan armchair carries the dignity, weight and fatigue of old age.

Although the chairs appear side by side, they do not truly connect. Each one floats alone, as if every stage of life exists within its own separate void. The absence of the human figure makes the work quieter, but also sharper: the seat remains, yet the person is gone.

The partial tree trunk on the left gives the dark space a sense of weight and scale. It reminds the viewer that the world continues to exist, while each individual position may change, disappear or be taken away.

Void of Time is not a work of despair. It is a calm confrontation with impermanence. Every moment of sitting is temporary. Every identity eventually leaves the stage.
